As Data Manager your specific responsibilities will be as follows:

VASAVYA MAHILA MANDALI (VMM) established forty years ago with Gandhian ideology as a not for profit secular voluntary organization is working in the rural as well as urban areas of Andhra Pradesh. VMM works with a vision to promote comprehensive social, economic and political development for women, children and youth in vulnerable situations, there by empowering communities in A.P to improve their quality of life, and build a better civil society in India.

Impacting lives of Women and Children through Sustainable Community Driven Life cycle Initiatives; facilitate knowledge building of communities on issues of orphan and vulnerable children; promote the physical and psychosocial health of communities by building knowledge on prevention/care/treatment and thereby increasing demand for government services; and deliver quality outreach services through community support structures; increase capacity of the Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and civil society organisations.

TAP Project: Tuberculosis in Andhra Pradesh (TAP) programme is managed by Vasavya Mahila Mandali (VMM) with the technical support from TB Alert and financed by DFID.  The project aimed to reduce levels of TB and TB/HIV co-infection, and increase access to effective health services, through empowered communities and local advocacy in six coastal districts: Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, Krishna, Prakasam and Nellore. This project address the issue by targeting some of the most underserved groups, including tribal and fishing communities, women and children with awareness raising activities.  The project focus on sensitization of PHP, RMP and Traditional Healers on HIV and TB, further it empower them to refer suspected cases to government health services.  Improved diagnostic facilities for sparsely populated communities with increased accessing of TB and HIV services by women and children were aimed. The project is initiated in September 2011 up to 31March 2015.

Key Responsibilities: The Data Manager is responsible for management of data at implementing partners and lead level. The Data Manager co facilitates and coordinates with Programme Coordinator and inform to Technical Support Manager (TSM) in all aspects of the training and capacity building of NGOs /CBOs related to MIS/data management/reporting systems and work closely with the TSM and Programme Coordinator. The Data Manager is responsible for the VMM network NGOs programme implementation in Andhra Pradesh and work in close collaboration with the programme team.
